When a Cold Case Comes in Hot
Bride of the Underground is the first issue in the It’s a Mystery label, uncovering brutal murders—past, present, and future—hidden beneath the bustling Parkside Plaza Subway Station. This setting plunges sleuths into the depths of a subway station concealing a long-buried secret.
As time erodes the station’s dark past, will they uncover the truth?
The Walls are Closing In…
Gavin Davis, a prominent city councilman, is over his head in the design of Parkside Plaza Subway Station. His girlfriend Lisbon Farrow grows increasingly worried as his once confident demeanor unravels into paranoia and rage.
A year overdue and way over budget, Gavin’s dream has become a public disaster—and he’s losing his grip on reality.
And If They Could Talk…
By the end of the Parkside Plaza Station development, the walls are up, worker disputes are settled, and there’s finally a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the whole ordeal. Rumors swirl that Gavin and Lisbon have eloped after several public meltdowns, leaving behind the station’s troubled legacy.
The station itself, an eyesore of corporate commercialism, opens to little fanfare—a hollow monument to failure.
What Would They Say?
By the year 2000, the city of New Athens has had enough. A full renovation of the station is underway when a construction worker breaks through an old, forgotten wall. What they uncover reignites a decades-old mystery, setting off a deadly chain of events that threatens everyone who dares to walk through Parkside Plaza Station.
